Teddy Santis, founder of Aimé Leon Dore, was appointed by New Balance to be the creative director of their MADE in USA line which launched in 2021. The design nods to both brands; featuring a cream mesh upper with silver and tan overlays, the iconic "N" logo and "Aimé Leon Dore" inscribed on the tongue and a floral motif on the heel.
Our experts believe the busyness of this design makes the sneaker stand out and injects new life into a New Balance shoe that is often overlooked. It also brought Aimé Leon Dore to the attention of many New Balance fans for the first time, making its release on 4th April 2023 even more significant.
